One milion John Deere tractors rolled out in Augusta
An important milestone was reached by John Deere completion of the one millionth tractor, a 5100M model, built at the Augusta factory in Georgia, the United States. Manufacturing, specialized in the production of compact utility tractors, began here in 1990 for a wide range of customers and an array of international markets. The Augusta plant turns out the 1 Family, 2 Family, 3 Family, and 4 Family compact utility tractors from 5 up to 115 Hp.
These units are designed to meet the specific requirements of livestock raisers, specialized crops and small and medium size farms. The 5 Family utility tractors, also built by John Deere in Augusta, are available in four models from 75 to 115 Hp Stage IIIB diesel engines with common rail technology for reduced fuel consumption. They are available with a wide selection of transmissions, fixed open stations and PTOs. Thanks the mid-frame design, the M5 family can be equipped with front lift and PTO and a John Deere H260 and H310 front lifts.
