New utility and specialized by New Holland
With the Fiat Centenario Limited Edition range inspired by the 90 Series, New Holland celebrates the hundredth anniversary of the release of the first Fiat tractor. A series of celebratory events will unfold during 2019
New Holland widens its range of specialized and utility tractors with the introduction of new technologies and new operational features. The following are some of the main new products launched at EIMA International.
T4F ROPS. The T4 series sees the debut of the version of the super-low profile T4 F conceived - thanks to the new front axle (which approaches the front of the tractor to the ground, for a total height of the bonnet of only 135 cm) - to work under pergolas, in orchards, and in vineyards on steep slopes. The rear platform of the tractor, which is also lowered and compatible with 20 and 24 inch tyres, made it possible to position the driver’s seat at a height of 73.5 cm from the ground, greatly benefiting manoeuvrability. The front linkage and the PTO with 2-tonne capacity are optional.
TK4. In the crawler tractor segment, a 107-horsepower (79 kW) model, the TK4, makes its debut. The machine is prized for the new 80-litre three-stage pump, which improves the hydraulic performance, thus facilitating the use of the most demanding equipment. The cab is also new (it can be mounted directly at the factory). Available in the Mountain and Open Field versions, the cab is characterized by various constructive innovations, such as the thermal and anti-dust screen positioned between the engine compartment and the operator workstation, and the high-capacity air conditioning system with expanded fans.
T4 Low Profile. The main improvement by the New Holland designers involved the front axle, now equipped with a structured front bridge capable of “supporting” wider tyres and working with the most demanding equipment or machines requiring great stability. The new front axle is 12 cm wider compared to the previous version and has a capacity of 2,500 kilos, while the rear axle, however, is characterized by a capacity of 3,700 kilos. As standard, the T4 LP is equipped with a 2,900 kilo rear lift, while for more specialized applications - reports a New Holland note - a front lift with a capacity of 1,970 kilos is available.
The restyling of the T4 LP also involved the rims and mudguards, compatible with different track settings (T4 LP is available in versions with 24, 28 or 30 inch track width) for a total width from 1,588 mm to 2,432 mm.
Among the other pluses of the T4 LP, we must mention the new front electro-hydraulic differential lock and optional front brakes, for steep slopes and for better road safety, but also the optional front linkage with a capacity of up to 1,970 kilos.
T5. The T5 series sees the launch of the AutoCommand version with a continuously variable transmission that enhances the flexibility of a line that is already particularly versatile in itself. The three-stage acceleration and deceleration control offers tailor-made performance for all types of applications, while the “soft” setting - for gentle direction changes - is ideal for high-speed transport operations or working on slippery surfaces. Instead, the super-fast setting ensures almost instantaneous changes in direction.
The new T5 Auto Command engines are powered by a 4.5-litre Stage V NEF four-cylinder engine, for a range of 110 to 140 horsepower. The post-treatment is entrusted to the Hi-ESCR2 system, a zero-maintenance technology, designed to cut operating costs.
We should mention the driver’s seat, where the ergonomic and silent Horizon cab makes its debut: studied under the banner of ergonomics and operational comfort, it offers a very wide view on the work area.
New Holland offers four models in the T5 AutoCommand line, with a power range from 110 to 140 horsepower, New Holland.
The top of the range, the T5.140 - reports the manufacturer - will soon be available in the Blue Power version.
