The MF 7716 S and MF 7726 S took to the field at the EIMA Show along with the MF 8740 S, MF 6718 S and MF 5712 S) in the Massey Ferguson series S, a line of tractors created for professional farmers and contractors. This range of eight models is driven by 6 cylinder Agco Power engines extending from 140 tp 255 Hp.

EPM for everyone. The great new feature of these engines on the MF 7700 S tractors is the Dyna-VT and Engine Power Management system formerly available with the Dyna-4 and Dyna-6 transmissions. The EPM provides additional 25 Hp when needed. The Massey Ferguson website said, “The EPM system makes it possible for the tractor to automatically respond to the load to calibrate and increase power when required for the load. The system operates through electronic transmission components that monitor the load and operating conditions in the transmission and in the PDF according to the feed rate, transmission load and activation of the PDF. This information is sent to the electronic engine management system which adjusts the fuel quantity and injection times accordingly in the transmission and in the PDF according to the feed rate, transmission load and activation of the PDF. This information is sent to the electronic engine management system which adjusts the fuel quantity and injection times accordingly.”

Hydraulics, all the force needed for agriculture. The rear loader has been improved for a capacity of up to 9.9 tons and the rear couplings are equipped with a hydraulic system allowing the operator to select decompression to open or close a stain and overturn or fill the bucket at the same time. For this series, the manufacturer has upgraded hydraulic stability with a shorter chain and optimized the loader and equipped it with a ELC for the transfer of weight, traction and for lowering fuel consumption reducing wheel slipping and tire wear. Another technology is the Active Transport Control with a device to take the shock and minimizes pitching by automatically adjusting the weight of implements to lighten the load on the lift cylinders and the hydraulic circuits for safer transport and lowering risk of damage to the raised rear loader.

Transmissions, a wide range of choice. Excluding the entry level MF 7714 (with Dyna 4 transmission), the models in this range allow the selection of the Dyna-6 or the continuously variable Dyna-VT transmission. There are three transmission options only for the MF 7715 S. The website reported, “The Dyna-6 is a semi-Powershift transmission which combines simple operation and efficiency for ensuring smooth changes through the six speeds of Dynashift in all four ranges. There is no need to use the shift pedal for changes under load.” The continuously variable Dyna-VT, on the other hand, is an intuitive transmission, easy to use and the most popular for uninterrupted power, equipped with the EPM system for excellent performance, efficiency and low fuel consumption.

Wealth of technology offers for precision agriculture. The great strong point for the MF 7700 S tractors are their technologies for 4.0 farming. Among them is the innovative Fieldstar terminal. Massey Ferguson explained that this is an intuitive platform within reach of the operator, designed to make precision farming facilitated for everyone. Moreover, the series also includes an Auto-guide for automatic driving assistance to guarantee maximum precision for possible operations. AgControl is a device which makes use of tractor GPS for the automatic control of ISOBUS equipment to make it possible to seed without overlaps and double seeding.
