The 2020 edition of Expoagro, an Argentine exhibition dedicated to agriculture and mechanization, includes the participation of six Italian companies specialized in the components segment. The collective organized by the Italian Trade Agency and by FederUnacoma
From 10 to 13 March the spotlight will be on the 2020 edition of Expoagro, an international exhibition dedicated to agriculture, livestock and agricultural mechanization, which takes place in the San Nicolàs fairgrounds, 300 kilometres north-west of the capital Buenos Aires. The 2019 edition of the event was attended by more than 165 thousand visitors who crowded the 200 thousand square metres of the exhibition area of San Nicolàs, while 521 exhibitors presented their technological solutions for agriculture in the South American country. Once again this year, the Argentine exhibition speaks Italian thanks to a collective organized by the Italian Trade Agency in collaboration with FerderUnacoma, occupying a pavilion of about 600 square metres in a central area of the exhibition area. Six Italian companies are participating - ADR, AMA, Annovi Reverberi, Arag, ASJ and Tecomec - all specialized in the design and production of components, testifying to the great vitality of the sector and its considerable potential for expansion on the international markets.
Expoagro, the news of 2020. The 2020 edition of Expoagro confirms the winning formula that has allowed the fair to become one of the benchmarks for the agricultural sector not only for Argentina, but for all of South America. In the foreground, the static and dynamic exhibition of agricultural machinery, cattle expo, conferences, topical meetings and the test drives. There are also many innovations, including the info point set up in the Technodrome (the area dedicated to new technologies), the true high tech heart of the event. During the days of the exhibition, a team of experts from the National Institute of Agricultural Technology will be available to visitors to provide advice, answer questions and find customized solutions for applying new technologies to agriculture. The spotlight is also on the meeting of the body representing the agricultural contratistas, and speaking of subcontracting, also on the Expoagro Award for Career and Innovation. “The subcontractors - explains Jorge Scoppa, head of FACMA, the Argentine Federation of Agricultural Contractors - absorb 70% of the sales of agricultural machinery. Therefore, the contratistas are the main buyers on the agricultural mechanization market and the most important investors in agricultural technologies; that is, they are true multipliers of innovation and production”.
An exhibition “in pink”. After the success achieved in 2019, with the first meeting dedicated to the role of women engaged in the agro-industrial sector, Expoagro opens a new window on women’s work in agriculture. Organized jointly with the #MujeresRurales group, the meeting represents an important opportunity to take stock of the situation of “female agro-workers”, as well as updating and relaunching the platform of requests centred on the main thematic issues of the sector.
