BL2/EX/VT, a mulcher for demanding jobs
FAE expands the range of professional mulchers for excavators equipped with Bite Limiter technology. This is a market segment in which the Fondo (Trento) company is already present with the BL1/EX model, which has quickly become one of the most popular machines for customers in the Trentino company. The latest addition to the FAE family, the BL2/EX/VT - the BL1’s older sister - promises to raise the bar even further. The Bite Limiter technology optimizes machine power and efficiency management, with the “Hardox” steel profiles mounted near the tools limiting the action depth of the blades. In addition, the rotor (in forged steel) equipped with heat-treated tool holders is a guarantee of durability over time. As regards tools, FAE has provided for the possibility of using both E type blades (reversible model) and E/HD blades, particularly recommended for heavy duty operations. In terms of performance, the newcomer BL2/EX/VT can also boast another arrow to its bow. We are talking about the Variable Torque hydraulic piston engine with automatic displacement change. As stated in a technical note from the manufacturer, this significantly improves the machine’s performance because it increases the torque when the engine is under stress and minimizes the conditions of rotor stall. Designed for 8 to 14 tonne excavators (the mulcher has a flow regulating valve that allows you to manage it optimally on each model of excavator), BL2/EX/VT is available in working widths of 100 cm and 125 cm, and is able to shred logs with a maximum diameter of 15 centimetres without any trouble. On request, it can be equipped with a bracket and hydraulic thumb, particularly useful for moving or handling the material to be mulched. It also be fitted with a mechanically adjustable rear deflector and a hydraulic front hood for an optimal management of the shredded material. The new forage harvester made by the Trentino company is suitable for remediation and maintenance of forests and fallow areas, for creating fire lines, and for any other type of forestry work.
