BKT new tyres at EIMA

Improved highway speed and comfort combined with advanced performance in each machine’s range of specialised activity are the hallmarks of the new tyres unveiled by India’s BKT tyre company at the EIMA industrial fair in Bologna.

The Ridemax FL 693 M is a radial tyre for tractors that need to make frequent use of highways, for example because one of their main tasks is to tow trailers or tankers. While the tyre offers high performance on tarmac, saving time and fuel consumption, it is also self-cleaning.

The Ridemax FL 698 on the other hand, an ‘all-steel’ radial tyre, is designed for use with quarry or worksite dumpers, tanker trucks, and manure spreaders. A highway speed of up to 80 km/h is part of the specification. The tyre is ‘all-steel’ in that its basic steel structure is designed for heavy-duty use.

Also on view at the BKT-Univergomma stand – Univergomma holds the BKT franchise for Italy – are other top products from the Indian company, for example, the Agrimax Force IF 900/60 R 38, with greater load capacity and lower inflation pressure than its rivals, a clear choice for 250 HP tractors.

There is also the Agrimax Teris, a specialist tyre for harvesting and mowing when its ability to float over the terrain and maintain low soil compaction is appreciated, the Agrimax Spargo 380/90 R for sprayers and crops in rows (the narrow width lets the tractor move easily between the rows without damaging the plants) and the radial Multimax MP 422 with reinforced tyre bead and steel belts for agro-industrial use.
