Agritechnica, the 2023 edition was a success
More than 470,000 visitors from 149 countries flocked to the Hannover exhibition centre from 11 to 18 November to learn first-hand about the innovations and technological innovations offered at Agritechnica by agricultural mechanisation companies. The data released at the opening press conference of the exhibition by the organizers of DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft) indicate that 2,811 exhibiting industries participated in the event, most of them foreign (1,831, compared to 980 German) representing 52 nations.
The largest group was, once again, that of Italian manufacturers with 351 exhibitors, followed by Chinese (182), Turkish (159), Dutch (141) and French (106) manufacturers. The Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft also reports that a total gross exhibition area of around 400,000 square metres was occupied.
The numbers testify to the success of the 2023 edition, which, moreover, was eagerly awaited not only by insiders and operators in the sector but also by the vast public of enthusiasts and the curious.
This year, in fact, the event made its official return among the world's trade fairs, after a four-year absence caused by the Covid-19 pandemic (the last edition of the event was held in 2019).
As is well known, in 2020 and 2022, the health emergency forced exhibition event organizers to rethink, redefine and reschedule the calendar of events.
"The 2023 edition of Agritechnica confirmed the high propensity of the agro-mechanical sector to develop and offer highly innovative technologies. After a four-year hiatus - commented Timo Zipf, Project Manager of the exhibition - exhibitors have finally returned to Hanover where they have brought their latest generation machines and equipment for the agricultural sector."
The next appointment with the Hanover event is set for 2025, from 9 to 15 November.
