Safety and comfort with Spring Protezione respirator

Powercap Active IP is an innovative positive pressure filtered air respirator put on the market by Spring Protezione, a company in Vignola, near Modena, specializing in the design and production of individual protection devises for the protection of operators at work in hazardous environments contaminated by dust and other particles. The Powercap Active is equipped with an electrofilter flow created by an aspiration turbine and two high efficiency filters. The air drawn in through the turbine and filtered to eliminate impurities is conveyed down over the polycarbonate visor to prevent the formation of condensation which hinders visor. The continuous air flow at 170 liters per minute builds positive pressure to facilitate the operator's breathing while blocking the arrival of contaminating agents to the inside of the helmet respirator. To guarantee safety against impact for the wearer, the Spring Protezione Powercap Active used Hard Cap +1 technology for the helmet to combine the lightweight helmet with comfort and safety. The power for the respirator is provided by a rechargeable lithium battery for eight hours of autonomy and requiring 16 hours to recharge. According to a communique issued by the manufacturer, Powercap Active is intended for use not only for agricultural work such as handling grain, haymaking or poultry raising operations but for industrial applications as well, for example for cutting marble and sawing wood, in cement plants and coal mining.
