M6060 and M7060: Kubota tractors with respect for the environment
The restyled Kubota M6060 and M7060 tractors following rigorous redesigning by the Japanese manufacture are turning up at Fieragricola with a host of new features, beginning with their engines. For these models, Kubota is unwrapping the Common Rail system (CRS) which electronically controls the timing and amount of injected fuel with high-pressure injection in stages which turns out 66,6 HP with M6060 and 74,2 for M7060. These engines were especially designed for these M Series tractors for reducing noise and vibrations while lowering fuel consumption. They carry E-CID, a 4-valve central injection system for providing maximum power. The Common Rail Kubota power plants also ensure reduced exhaust emissions kept under control by EGR, the exhaust gas recirculation system, the DOC, a catalytic oxidation converter and DPF, diesel particulate filter muffler. The electronic system for the regulation of rpm is handled by the electronic management of the entire which, once activated, maintains engine rpm at a constant regime to avoid reducing the PTO regime and provide the tractor and implements greater stability. Also efficient are the 6 speed transmissions with 3 ranges, creeper, medium and fast, for a total of 18FW and 18RV speeds with ECO Travel function on overdrive which limits engine rpm even at high speed by as much as 20% under nominal rpm. This technical solution reduces fuel consumption, wear and engine noise. Other features of these tractors are their hydraulic reverse which makes speed changes smooth and quick, a parking brake easily to apply with an ergonomic lever on the steering wheel, a limited-slip differential which ensures steady speed in case of slippage of the drive wheels and the DT electronic which quickly engages and disengages double traction with an interrupter. Also of note is the spacious and ergonomic cabs mounted on the M6060 and M7060 to provide the operator with maximum comfort.
