potenza superiore a 18 cavalli. Infatti, dopo tre anni di
crescita a pieno ritmo – tra il 2011 e il 2013 le vendite
sono aumentate del 64%, passando da 320mila unità a più
di 524mila, per un valore complessivo stimato dal VDMA in
16miliardi di euro (comprese lemacchineoperatrici) –nel 2014
il settoreha “tirato il fiato”, fermandosi aquota524.600unità
e rimanendo dunque sostanzialmente invariato rispetto all’an-
no precedente. Tuttavia, nonostante questa battuta d’arresto,
la Cina si è confermata anche nel 2014 come il secondo
“player”mondiale conunaquotapari al 24,6%delladomanda
globale, subito dopo l’India (593mila unità per una quota pari
al 27,8%).
Uno stop temporaneo
Secondo le previsioni di Agrievolution, associazione interna-
zionaledi cui fannoparte i costruttori dimacchineagricoledei
più importanti Paesi delmondo, la frenatadell’agromeccanica
cinesedovrebbeproseguirenel corsodel 2015,a causadi fat-
tori contingenti legati alla redittività delle produzioni agricole
nelle regioni settentrionali del Paese, e dovrebbe interessare
soprattutto le gamme di potenza più basse. Allo stato attuale
sembra che il rallentamentodella crescita rappresenti unostop
temporaneo, una flessione congiunturale e non una linea di
tendenza destinata a protrarsi nel tempo. Infatti, come evi-
denzia un rapporto FederUnacoma redatto all’indomani dell’e-
dizione 2014 della fiera CIAME (la rassegna di riferimento in
Cina per la meccanizzazione), il settore primario cinese, che

A temporary stop
According to the forecasts by Agrievolution, the international
association that includes manufacturers of agricultural ma-
chinery from the most important countries in the world, the
slowdown of Chinese agromechanics should continue during
2015, due to temporary factors related to agricultural pro-
duction profitability in the northern regions of the country, and
should affect particularly the lower power ranges. At present
it seems that the slowdown in growth represents a temporar-
ily pause, due to a weak economy, and not a trend expected
to continue over time. As shown in a FederUnacoma report
drawn up after the 2014 edition of the CIAME exhibition (the
exhibition of reference in China for mechanization), the Chi-
nese primary sector,which has alsomade important progress
on the systematic use of mechanical equipment in the coun-
tryside (according to data from the VDMA, last year the over-
all rate ofmechanization reached61%), continues to be char-
acterized by a strong demand for technology. On the other
hand - says the FederUnacoma report - although in recent years
Beijing has given a boost to industrial development, the agri-
cultural sector continues to have a strategic importance for
the country, and in rural areas the use of science and tech-
nology is limited by innovation processes that still advance at
