The Berti compacts take to the field
Green is a compact reversible shredder made by Berti Macchine Agricole (the headquarters are in Caldiero, Verona) for mowing grass, bushes and twigs (up to 2 cm in diameter) in parks, green areas and playgrounds. The new Berti shredder can be paired with tractors with 30 to 55 horsepower, and it comes with a large number of tools (Berti type “G” hammers) and with a system of counterblades that optimizes the processing of the material. Among the benefits of this model, we must mention the wear-resistant frame, ensuring the maximum durability and versatility of the machine. It can be applied to tractors with power take-offs at 540/ 1000/2000 rpm. Moreover, it can be equipped with a hydraulic motor which makes it usable on many types of tool carriers and small loaders. The Green mulcher can be equipped with pivoting wheels, recommended for use on the front, while the lateral movement is mechanical or hydraulic on chromed stems.
At the Verona-based company stand, the spotlight is on the Zeta shredder, designed to eliminate the bulk of the belt guard on conventional shredders. As a result, the total footprint of the shredder is equal to the working width, the sides are rounded and without protrusions, and the central transmission feeds two rotors that can be equipped with hammers or blades (for shredding material with a diameter of up to 4-5 cm). On this machine, recommended for wine and fruit farms, Berti has eliminated the lateral transmission of the belts, so as to allow the operator to work equidistantly from the rows. To facilitate the work of the equipment to manage the underlay (for example, the Ecosprint and Ecorow mechanical weeders also by Berti), the Zeta model is equipped with a rear support roller and front wheels, which allow the application to follow the profile of the terrain. It is available in rear and front version with 540 and 1000 rpm for power take-offs, and working widths are between 150 and 250 centimetres.
