Officina meccanica BeG: integrated solutions for pruning
EIMA International is the setting for Officina meccanica BeG's new line of pruning and trimming tools for orchards and vineyards. The BGP 3000JS intensive pruner is particularly distinctive as an extremely versatile machine that can be equipped with three different types of cutting tools for optimal and complete management of intensively cultivated olive groves. The Hardox VL 2500 0/40 double-bladed cutter bar is a device with interchangeable sections, specialized in pruning and hedging operations for both green and dry areas. The double-blade cut does not cause burns, does not damage the branch, does not produce sawdust and simulates extremely high-quality hand cutting. The clean cut of the double blade, similar to that of manual shears, promotes rapid healing and vigorous and uniform regrowth of new shoots. The VL 2500 0/40 bar works at low rpm, permitting a significant reduction in fuel consumption and allowing cutting operations to be carried out without having to protect the tractor. The VD 5 disc bar provides optimal results especially with topping pruning. Thanks to its rotation, the VD 5 model leaves no residue on the plant, thus facilitating mechanical harvesting. It is possible to prune branches much faster than with a sickle bar and make clean, precise cuts of large sizes. Using a disc bar is less suitable for small cuts because they are less clean and do not leave traces of burning. Finally, the TRIX bar for under-canopy work is equipped with three rotating propellers and a suction and shredding system. It is able to perform an optimal cleaning of the lower part of the canopy, promoting good air circulation and improving the penetration of sunlight, so important for photosynthesis. The TRIX bar also helps prevent fungal and bacterial diseases and facilitates phytosanitary operation, a well as stimulating the growth of new branches and facilitating mechanical harvesting.
