At Eima International 2018, the David Fruit Elt+W spreader is on show at the stand of the Cuneo company Eurospand Cavallo. This is the electronically controlled version of the David Fruit model, an inter-row application for vineyards and orchards, which has been very successful on the market ever since its launch. David Fruit Elt+W retains the strengths of the hydraulic version - i.e. the vibrating bottom of the hopper without agitator (the “Vibro System”, suitable for mineral, organic and pelletized fertilizers) and the stainless steel conveyor with removable casing (which allows the easy passage from inter-row distribution to that in open field or in greenhouses) - and enhances them thanks to the electronic management system, which regulates the quantities to be delivered according to the forward speed. The speed is detected through the ISO 11786 socket, the phonic wheel or the GPS. The system also allows to spread the product on one side, to check the distributed quantity and the treated hectares. The functions of the fertilizer spreader are managed by the operator thanks to a simple and intuitive multilingual monitor, with which it is possible to create and store the operations, export the control reports connected to the individual treatment and display them on the computer (the programs pre-installed on the computer include dosage curves for many fertilizers). Finally, the weighing system is of the double-frame type with two 5-tonne load cells, which keep the actual weight inside the hopper under constantly monitoring. In case of physical variations, the fertilizer is returned to “its” distribution curve, that is to say that it allows the application to deliver the exact quantity of product required per hectare.
