Control and stability: VB 3100 round baler by Kuhn
News from Kuhn in the baling sector. During the Agrilevante, the French company introduces the new series of VB 3100 variable-chamber round balers. This is a broad range of balers: VB 3155-3185, for dried fodder such as hay and straw; VB 3160-3190 equipped with the ISOBUS communication standard and suitable for harvesting all types of forage, including silage; and VB 3165-3195, developed for work under extreme conditions and also available with the wrapper.
The large cam pickup that equips all VBs ensures it adapts very well to the ground profile while baling. Its swing movement always ensures that the wheels are in contact with the ground, improving the machine’s stability. Thanks to the INTEGRAL ROTOR technology, the machine has a high input capacity with any type of product.
The PROGRESSIVE DENSITY system ensures that bales are always optimal under any condition, thanks to the increase in strap tension during the bale formation, providing a safe start and bales with constant density from the middle to the edges. The meshing system has an exclusive dynamic tensioning device, allowing the mesh to be applied evenly throughout the entire tying cycle, improving the shelf life and shape of the bale. All the process parameters, such as density, diameter and number of mesh layers, can be comfortably set from the monitor in the cabin. The new control terminals allow the operator to easily monitor the operations in progress, with the ability to change the main working parameters with the touch of a finger. The VB 3155-3185 are also equipped with a new VT 30 colour monitor.
