Apollo Tyres, open day at the Enschede plant
It has been 25 years since the first Vredestein Traxion+ tractor tyre was produced. The tyre's success was made possible by its design features - the curved tread blocks ensure optimum grip on the road and reduced wear - its high traction in the field, and its strong self-cleaning capabilities.
The research that went into the development of the Traxions is the basis from which many of today's Vredestein tyres have been made, such as the VF Traxion Optimall, the Traxion XXL, the Traxion 65, the Traxion 70 and the Traxion 85.
These models are popular throughout Europe and are often used as original equipment by New Holland, Case, John Deere, Claas and Massey Ferguson.
The 25th anniversary of the launch of the Vredestein Traxion+, celebrated last September, was the occasion to present the Apollo Tyres factory and research and development centre in Enschede, the Netherlands, to the press. Visitors were able to witness several field demonstrations and the presentation of new products for 2023.
Next year, two new trailer tyre series will be introduced to the market, with VF technology for soil protection, and a new line of tyres for heavy-duty trailers, mainly intended for road transport.
