no, nei primi ottomesi dell’anno,uncalodel 7,6per cen-
to. A fine agosto – secondo le stime dell’associazione
europea dei costruttori Cema, che include nelle statistiche
anche la Turchia – il numero di macchine immatricolate si è
fermato a quota109mila, rispetto alle117mila dello stes-
so periodo 2014. Tutti i Paesi censiti registrano cali signifi-
cativi: Francia -4,4% in ragionedi 19milamacchine immatri-
colatenel periodoconsiderato,Germania -8,7% (21.200mac-
chine); RegnoUnito -16% (8.700macchine).
Meno pesante rispetto allamedia degli altri Paesi il passivo
dell’Italia, chesecondo i dati relativi ai primi novemesi –ela-

ver the firsteightmonthsof theyear tractorsales in thema-
jorEuropeancountriesshowedadropof7.6%.According to
theestimatesof Europeanagricultural industryassociation
inEurope,CEMA,whichbrings instatisticsonTurkeyaswell,thenum-
ber ofmachines registered stoppedat 109,000units compared to
117,000moved in thesameperiod in2014.Thecensus figures for
allthecountriesweresubstantiallydown:Franceby4.4%with19,000
tractors registered in the period considered; Germany off by 8.7%,
21,200units; theUK falling16%with8,700 tractorsmoved.
FederUnacoma,withdataelaboratedonMinistryofTransport figures,
reported a less steep decline for Italy with a downturn of 3%with
slightlymore than14,000machinessold in the first ninemonthsof
the year.This drop, however, came on top of the systematic losses
reported for thecountrysince2009which took tractor registrations
toanhistoric low in2014,down to18,178.
Expectations for the full year basedon thecurrent trendare for Ital-
ianmarket figuresbelow thebalance for 2014 tobeing the total to
nomore than18,000units.The trend for other typesof agricultural
machinery is no different with transporters off by 28.6%with513
unitssold; trailers,down3.8%at7,159units.Amongvehicles regis-
tered, only combineharvestersweremovingagainst the trendwith
again,plus9.7% for318machines registered, for asharp increase
asapercentagebut not very significant considering the small num-
ber of units.
FederUnacoma PresidentMassimoGoldoni remarked, “The Italian
economy isslowlymovingaheadand thiscanstimulategreatercon-
fidenceandawillingness togetback to investments for thepurchase
ofagriculturalmachineryandequipmentbutan improvement in the
marketcancomeonlynextyear, inpartbecause thegovernmenthas
