Per l’azienda è un passaggio epocale. Argo Tractors, da un lato punta, a consolidare la posizione di leadership dell’azienda nel settore delle coltivazioni ad alto valore aggiunto ed a guadagnare quote di mercato nel segmento utility, dall’altro sviluppa una politica di innovazione a tutto campo che contribuisce a fare del marchio Landini un simbolo di eccellenza globale. Nel 1998 viene realizzato il primo compatto di casa Landini, il Mistral, che precede di due anni il rinnovamento completo di tutte le gamme con potenze comprese tra 50 e 100 cavalli. Con il nuovo millennio entrano in produzione trattori Rex Frutteto, Rex Vigneto, Mythos, Ghibli, Atlantis e Trekker, seguiti poco dopo dai Vision e dai Powermaster. Il percorso di crescita intrapreso con la nuova proprietà viene suggellato nel 2008 dal prestigioso premio del Tractor of the Year per la categoria del Best of Specialized, nella quale il Rex 85S si impone per gli avanzati contenuti tecnologici particolarmente apprezzati e per le prestazioni di assoluto livello. L’ambito riconoscimento internazionale rappresenta tuttavia non un punto di arrivo, ma l’inizio di un nuovo percorso che vede l’azienda emiliana moltiplicare gli investimenti in attività di R&S.
