n. 5-6/2024 33 BRAND Superlandini – anno di nascita 1934 – raccolse il testimone dal Landini 40 cavalli, che due anni prima aveva segnato l’inizio della produzione regolare di trattori nello stabilimento di Fabbrico. Gli anni 30 del ‘900 non furono segnati soltanto dalla grande crisi del ’29, ma videro anche un progressivo deterioramento dello scenario politico internazionale che sarebbe sfociato negli eventi del secondo conflitto mondiale. Prima che l’Italia finisca per essere coinvolta nelle vicende belliche, Landini riesce a sviluppare e a lanciare due nuovi modelli: nel 1935 esordisce il Vélite, pensato per le aziende agricole di medie dimensioni, mentre nel 1941 vede la luce il Landini Bufalo da 35/40 cavalli. La casa reggiana torna protagonista nel secondo dopoguerra quando la ricostruzione, il “miracolo” economico e la meccanizzazione agricola su vasta scala fanno del costruttore di trattori della “Bassa” un protagonista assoluto del mondo industriale italiano. Nello stabilimento produttivo di Fabbrico le innovazioni si susseguono a ritmo frenetico. Tra il 1950 e il 1955 esordiscono ben quattro modelli – L24, L45, L35, L55 – che fanno da apripista alla Landinetta, una trattrice appositamente progettata per le lavorazioni nei frutteti, e al primo cingolato Landini, il C35. Ma gli anni ’50 vedono anche una importante riorganizzazione societaria che giunge a compimento nel 1959 con l’acquisizione di Landini da parte del costruttore statunitense Massey Ferguson (oggi parte del gruppo AGCO Corporation), che ne acquista l’intero pacchetto azionario. Sotto la guida statunitense la casa reggiana sviluppa importanti innovazioni tecnologiche e di gamma. Il decennio compreso tra il 1977 ed il 1988 vede infatti il lancio della serie Large, la prima con potenza superiore a 100 cavalli, e delle serie 60, 70, 80, ma registra – soprattutto – il debutto della prima linea vigneto, nel 1982, cui seguirà poco dopo quello della prima limation works, the Superlandini – born in 1934 – took over from the Landini 40 horsepower, which two years earlier had marked the beginning of regular tractor production at the Fabbrico plant.
