n. 3-4/2024 39 GARDENING Il codice di velocità che si riscontra per le macchine destinate al verde è espresso dalla lettera A seguita da un numero: da A1 che indica come la velocità massima sia di 5 Km/h, sino a A8 per la velocità massima di 40 km/h. Per velocità superiori si ricorre ad altre lettere, ad esempio: B per 50 km/h, G per 90 km/h, ecc. In totale 23 lettere. La normalizzazione ha quindi portato a definire una simbologia standard, utilizzata a livello mondiale, che esprime le grandezze che identificano il tipo pneumatico, sia esso per autovetture, macchine agricole e anche per macchine per il verde. Questa simbologia viene marcata sul fianco dello pneumatico e riportata sul libretto di circolazione. Così, ad esempio, la identificazione con la scritta 185/65R15 88H significa: 185 larghezza in mm, 65 rapporto di aspetto (l’altezza del fianco è il 65% della larghezza), R radiale, 15 diametro di calettamento in pollici, 88 indice di carico, H velocità massima in km/h (nello specifico 210 km/h). Se lo pneumatico è diagonale, al posto della R vi è un trattino. Vi possono essere altri elementi che vengono marcati sul fianco, come: ruota motrice, ruota direttrice, senso di rotazione dello pneumatico, pressione massima di gonfiaggio, pneumatico tubeless, NHS (non omologato per strada), ecc. Si possono adottare altri tipi di marchiature e, nel caso di pneumatici specifici per le macchine da giardinaggio, si può trovare una marchiatura a due o a tre numeri seguiti dal numero di PR. Nella identificazione con i due numeri, ad esempio 3.50-8 4PR: 3.50 indica la larghezza dello pneumatico in pollici, mentre 8 esprime il diametro del cerchio sempre in pollici, 4 il numero di ameter, i.e. the distance between two opposite stops of the rim; speed code expressed by a letter; load index, i.e. the bearable load expressed by a number; PR (ply rating) number, i.e. the number of layered canvases; operating pressure. The aspect ratio is used to define the deformability of a tyre. In conventional ones the ratio is around 75-80%; in deformable ones it is equal to or less than 60%. The latter allow to increase the footprint surface and, therefore, reduce the load on the ground. The speed code found for vehicles intended for green areas is expressed by the letter A followed by a number: from A1, which indicates that the maximum speed is 5 km/h, up to A8 for the maximum speed of 40 km/h. For higher speeds other letters are used, for example: B for 50 km/h, G for 90 km/h, etc. A total of 23 letters.
