Stefan Top is the new President of CEMA, the European Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers. Top was unanimously elected last November 27th, at the association's General Assembly. CEO of AVR, a Belgian company specialized in the production of machinery for potato cultivation, Stefan Top has thirty years of experience in the agricultural machinery sector and since 2019 he has been president of the Agricultural Machinery Group within the Belgian Agoria Federation, representing more than 2,000 companies in the manufacturing, digital and telecommunications sectors. Stefan Top succeeds Thierry Krier, CEO of the Kuhn Group, who has led the European association for the past four years. «I am deeply honored by the trust the Council has placed in me. I will assume this responsibility – declared Stefan Top – with integrity and dedication. Our sector is vast and diversified, we represent companies that produce machinery for large agricultural companies and many SMEs that serve small businesses specializing in high-value specialty crops. As President, I will work to represent and support the entire agricultural machinery sector." The Assembly also ratified the election as Vice-Presidents of Thierry Krier (Kuhn), Carlo Lambro (CNH), Alessandro Malavolti (AMA) and Christoph Wigger (John Deere).
