At the end of January, Kverneland Group announced a major expansion of its Les Landes-Genusson factory in the Pays de la Loria region, south of Nantes. The investment, which aims to strengthen the Group's position in the sector of cultivation and mechanical weeding equipment, will make it possible to double the production capacity of the plant, that will host the production of large machines, such as the XL disc harrow. In its new configuration, the structure will have a total area of 5.5 hectares, going from the current 13,200 square meters to the future 20,000. The technical departments responsible for welding, painting and assembling the machinery as well as the development of prototypes, will benefit from the expansion of the productive plant, since they will be empowered and enlarged in order to meet the new targets fixed by the Norwegian group.
